"Double Digits, Dead Turtles"

Yarnmaze kicked off show #10 with the energy of someone who'd been waiting all week to remind everyone it was the tenth show. Memorial Day weekend crowd came ready. One audience member in particular — let's call him the front-row MVP — decided he was a cast member from minute one and never let up. Every comic got a piece of him, and he gave it right back. Miles Chaney opened with neighborhood renames and a self-deprecation streak that had the crowd leaning in. Claire Parlette brought a mechanical bull story and a tortoise named after a country legend — which sparked an actual taxonomy debate with the audience. Lauren Warwick delivered dry one-liners and got into it with the front row over dolphin research. Katie Mark came out swinging with audience call-and-response, a trip to Savannah that got fact-checked in real time, and a confidence that dared anyone to keep up. Xavier Smith drove in from Indiana and spent half his set in direct conversation with the crowd — pronouns, streaming platforms, and some boldly interactive moments. Dan Garcia brought it home with a weight-loss app bit, phone intimacy, and a dating life update.
